Lessons in Country Living, Part 4 (Video Blog)- Big Sky Farmhouse

I so enjoy being able to detail for you all the differences I have encountered and will continue to encounter in the tremendous change in life I made when I moved from Sin City Las Vegas to a quiet life in the Country of the Big Sky State.
Life in the Country continues to bring me experiences that I discover are different from what I am used to. I imagine this will continue, having lived the first half of my life in the concrete jungle and highly populated and glittery desert environment.
Just last night, I had another experience that was new and oh so very stinky! Because we live in mountain Country, it gets cool at night. An open bedroom window is common to let in cool air. Welll, it seems a skunk had some other things in mind and sprayed his perfume very near our bedroom window. I wish it were so simple as to just close the window but it’s not. That smell. That smell lingers and massages itself into the air…permeating your clothes and hair and blankets, etc. So, one has two choices. Endure the smell with the window open for as long as it takes for it to dissipate, or close the window. I closed the window(s) but it was far far too late. That smell stayed in my room from 4:30 am until I woke up at a proper retired folk A.M. time, 8:00, when I was able to open the window again and let it out. Awwww, the Country life baby. Breath it in! However, I would much rather deal with an animal skunk than a skunk in human form any day of the week!!
Anyhoo, please enjoy this video, part 4 to my series. We are having fun, country style!
